At times I think that technology is overwhelming and people forget how to converse face to face. Then tragedy strikes in Japan, knocking out or limiting their communications. I can't imagine the pain and angst of people who are desperate to here from their loved ones. This is where social media rises to a whole new level. People are using their cell phones and laptops to communicate. They are skyping, using cell phone videos to show the world the catastrophe. People are using facebook and blogging to families and loved ones to let them know they are fine. People are also passing on information for others who are unable to communicate. Google has also set up a crisis site to help in anyway they can. Pray for them and their families.
